First National Bank of Paola. Fr 382. Charter #1864. Original Series. A rare Miami County bank that only issued First Charter examples. Just 4 notes are known according to Track & Price. This example displays good color and even wear.
R-7. A transitional pattern with the reverse of 1866, which added IN GOD WE TRUST, paired with the regular issue 1865 obverse. Struck in copper with a reeded edge. This is a gorgeous example with choice brown surfaces highlighted by bright blue overtones.
Sharply struck with rich light chocolate brown surfaces and no significant marks or spots.
Excellent detail with pleasing medium gray surfaces and a stronger mintmark than typically seen.
With Motto. Deep reflective mirrored surfaces and a bold strike with richly frosted design features. The cameo contrast is strong and the fields are clean with just a hint of peripheral toning. Excellent eye appeal!
Well struck with lustrous brown surfaces that have a faint golden hue.
A lovely Premium Gem with vibrant brilliant luster and a sharp strike. The surfaces are nearly mark-free with interesting die clashing on both sides.
Clean, lightly frosted devices and bold definition particularly in the hair and wreath detail. A few minor tics consistent with the grade and extra metal on the reverse rim at 2 o’clock, as made. The fields are highly attractive and the overall eye appeal is strong.
A gorgeous Gem with a needle-sharp strike and shimmering surfaces with an ice-blue tint. The reverse shows really dramatic obverse clash marks with LIBERTY clearly visible in an arc below the date. A scarce date with just 7,100 minted. Housed in an old green label holder.
