Straight Edges. Without Monogram. Excellent green and black color with only a minor lower right corner fold. This is the much tougher, without monogram variety.
Surcharge “18-63” and “S”. Surcharge Inking Error. Scarce in high grade with only 3 notes reported finer at PMG. The inking error is most visible on obverse, right end center. Fully margined with coruscating colors.
Red reverse with design numeral “1” on the obverse. Portrait of the bust of George Washington, oval framed. A high quality example, with excellent margins, vibrant color and solid bronzing. Only 5 notes have graded finer at PMG.
Red Back. Hand Signed. Hinged with two small pin holes bottom right corner. A nice example of the much scarcer Jeffries-Spinner hand-signed note. It has decent centering on both sides, with solid ink and bronze color.
Green Back. Head of George Washington. Extremely well margined with vibrant color and solid gold bronzing.
PA-187. A fresh example with bright premium paper and dark black ink. Signatures are sharp with a bold appearance. Margins are full and well balanced. Eye appeal is excellent and only a single note grades finer at PMG.
FR-CC-18. A lively example with strong color, bright paper, and bold pen signatures. The vignette is inscribed with the phrase, MAJORA MINORIBUS CONSONANT, meaning ,’The large colonies and the small colonies are in harmony’. Great eye appeal!
