A rare first year Charlotte Mint quarter eagle with a tiny mintage of just 7,880 coins. This is a nice original example with antique gold surfaces displaying strong detail and minimal marks.
The first New Orleans mint gold issue and the only ‘O’ mint in the Classic Head quarter eagle series. Just 17,781 made and the obverse mint-mark adds to this scarce issues popularity. This is a well struck example with problem-free lustrous surfaces.

Sharply struck with satiny yellow-gold surfaces.
Very scarce with a mintage of 7,295 and an estimated 150 survivors. This example has bright satiny luster on attractive problem-free surfaces. The central area has slight strike weakness as is always seen on this date.
Well struck with yellow-gold surfaces and most luster still intact.
Just 34,000 minted and just a handful of mint state survivors with the finest graded at PCGS being a 63+. This is an attractive example without the heavy abrasions that plague New Orleans gold. The strike is above average although there is still slight softness to the eagle’s right leg on the reverse.
