Liberty’s portrait is well defined, with bold hair curls, a clear cap and headband, and sharply struck stars surrounding the obverse. Light wear is confined to the highest points, consistent with the AU53 grade. The reverse displays a crisply outlined eagle with strong feather definition in the wings and breast. Surfaces are smooth and natural, exhibiting even silver-gray toning with subtle highlights. A desirable early-date half dollar combining solid technical quality, attractive eye appeal, and an interesting variety.
