This Fine 12 example displays pleasing, original medium-gray surfaces with deeper patina in the protected areas, while the major design elements remain boldly outlined from honest circulation. The variety is readily identifiable by the absence of serifs on the reverse E’s, and is by far the rarest Overton variety of the date. Attractive and problem-free with strong eye appeal for the assigned grade.
