Small 5c. An attractive survivor from the final year of the Capped Bust half dime series. This example offers satiny luster with light silver-gray brilliance and subtle golden highlights at the rims. The strike is sharp, showing fine detail in Liberty’s curls and cap, as well as the eagle’s feathers and shield lines. Surfaces are pleasingly preserved for the grade, with no distracting marks and good overall eye appeal.
