Breen-6149, Winter-3. Identified by a shallow depression on Liberty’s cheek, caused by a thin layer of debris on the die. A scarce date with a mintage of 18,140 and one of only two Charlotte Mint quarter eagles with the mintmark on the obverse. This is a sharply struck example with bright lustrous surfaces that have a faint orange hue.
