One of the most dramatic errors in American Numismatics.  The entire date was placed way too high and is embedded into the base on which Ms. Liberty sits. The date was then properly placed and no effort was made to erase the first date.  Thus the first date is crystal clear. This is a beautiful problem-free example with strong detail and choice surfaces that display a smooth medium gray patina.
