This piece is sharply struck with crisp definition in the shield lines and bold reverse star and ray detail—features often seen soft on this issue. Smooth, satiny luster is complemented by a pleasing, original appearance. The surfaces are notably clean for the grade, and the overall eye appeal is excellent for this challenging early Shield Nickel sub-type. Housed in an old green label holder.
