Doubled Die Obverse, FS-101. A scarce date with 65,000 minted which is by far the lowest for any non-proof in the series. Second place is a distant 721,250 coins for 1871. This is a lovely example with lustrous surfaces and even red and brown coloring. The surfaces are choice with no significant marks or spots. The double die obverse, noted on the label, is interesting but very subtle, and we’ve added no premium to the price.
