Lustrous surfaces display rich russet and violet toning, with brighter highlights across the sharply defined portrait and royal arms. Kalakaua’s hair and beard are crisply rendered, as are the intricate details of the reverse shield. Exceptionally clean fields and well-preserved devices give this Hawaiian quarter the eye appeal expected of a premium Gem.
