A scarce key-date Morgan dollar with a fairly robust mintage of just 1,241,000 pieces, but seldom seen in high grade.  Pleasing silver-gray surfaces retain considerable luster, complemented by light golden peripheral toning. The strike is quite sharp for this often softly struck issue, with strong hair detail and well-defined eagle feathers. An attractive, problem-free example of one of the most important San Francisco Morgans.
