Attractive and sharply struck, displaying original gold coloration with warm yellow-gold and subtle orange highlights, complemented by noticeable remaining luster that flashes across the fields. The overall appearance is decidedly Mint State in character, with minimal rub and pleasing eye appeal.  1908-S is a scarce date with just 22,000 minted, making it the lowest mintage regular-issue in the series (excluding the special High Relief issues).
