A rarely seen full red example of this scarce date, exhibiting blazing cartwheel luster across beautiful satiny surfaces. Both obverse and reverse are sharply struck, with bold detail in Lincoln’s portrait, beard, and coat, as well as crisp wheat stalks on the reverse. The color is vibrant and original, free from fading or spotting, and the surface preservation is exceptional, with only the faintest marks visible under magnification.
