CAC. A handsome near-Mint State example of this scarce early San Francisco issue.  A touch of rub is confined to the highest points of Liberty’s gown and the eagle’s breast, while much original mint luster remains. The strike is solid for the issue, with clear detail throughout Liberty’s figure and strong feather definition on the reverse. Surfaces are clean and appealing, showing soft silver-gray toning and strong eye appeal.
