While 3,776,500 were minted, 1925-S is considered one of the major rarities in the series due to virtually the entire mintage being sent to the melting pots in the mid 1930’s. PCGS estimates 833 pieces have survived both certified and raw combined. This example is very well struck with lustrous yellow-gold surfaces. Marks are minor with none of significance. Mint state examples, especially MS-64 and above, are extremely rare. Only 6 pieces have graded numerically finer at PCGS and, if available, would have price tags of $200,000+. This example offers both rarity, wonderful eye appeal, and excellent value!
