CAC. One of the most famous and desirable of all 20th-century U.S. coin varieties. The obverse displays sharp detail in the Native American’s profile with a rich golden patina and light coppery undertones, accented by considerable mint luster. The reverse clearly shows the hallmark variety: the front right leg of the bison entirely missing due to overpolishing of the die. Remaining detail on the buffalo’s body and fur is strong for the grade, with the horn, tail, and back well defined. This piece has the look of a Mint State coin, with only the faintest trace of friction on the high points keeping it from a full uncirculated designation.
