The obverse displays strong doubling on the date, LIBERTY, and IN GOD WE TRUST, visible immediately without magnification and sharply defined throughout. Surfaces are well preserved with smooth fields and only light, scattered marks consistent with the grade. The coin exhibits an even chocolate-brown patina with subtle light blue and lavender highlights. The attractive, original color enhances strong eye appeal.
