1802 Bust Dime PCGS VG-8

The 1802 dime is a prized rarity within the series, with a modest mintage of just 10,975 pieces, and relatively few survivors known in all grades. This example shows even, solid detail with bold date and lettering, and pleasing originality for the grade. Despite moderate circulation, Liberty’s portrait remains clear, as does the eagle’s shield […]

1802/0 Half Cent PCGS F-15 CAC

CAC. Reverse of 1802. All 1802 half cents are overdates with the O clearly seen below the 2 of the date. They are also very scarce and truly rare when found in decent grades and problem-free. The vast majority of known coins are ‘rough’, to say the least. They are also unknown in mint state. […]

1802/1 Bust Dollar PCGS VF-35

A lovely example of this very clear overdate. The underlying 1 sits boldly beneath the primary 2 in the date. The surfaces are choice and original. They’re a pleasing light coin-gray with some darker gray toning at the bottom of the obverse. The design features are bold and minimal marks are insignificant and well hidden.

1803 Large Cent – PCGS AU-53

Small Date, Large Fraction. S-258. Well detailed with choice surfaces that are problem-free and retain a fair amount of mint luster. The obverse is a light reddish-brown while the reverse is medium brown. An arcing die crack at the lower left of the obverse field is diagnostic of the variety.

1804 Half Cent NGC MS-62 BN

Spiked Chin. Cohen-8. The last marriage of the Spiked Chin obverse following Cohen-5, 6, and 7. This is a late die state of this durable die. A ‘Spike’ extends from Liberty’s chin, a ‘tongue’ appears to stick out between her lips, and curved die lines are seen in the field opposite her neck. This is […]
