Arrows. A spectacular Premium Gem survivor of this important New Orleans issue. The “Arrows at Date” subtype was struck only in 1854 and 1855, signifying the slight weight increase mandated by the Coinage Act of 1853. This piece offers brilliant silver-white luster across frosty surfaces, with a satiny cartwheel sheen radiating strongly on both obverse […]
CAC. Well detailed with choice original surfaces and underlying luster.
Boldly struck with rich satiny mint luster and just a touch of rub.
Outstanding for the grade with a rich lustrous orange-gold patina displaying blue-gray toning. The surfaces are choice and wonderfully original with minimal marks. Housed in an old green label holder.
Well detailed with attractive original surfaces. A modestly priced Type-2 gold dollar.
Outstanding for the grade with a solid strike and original lustrous surfaces.

This example is sharply struck, with Liberty’s figure, shield, and gown folds fully defined, and the eagle’s feathers on the reverse crisp throughout. The satiny luster glows with soft, satiny brilliance, complemented […]
The ‘Arrows, No Rays’ Seated Half variety was only struck for just two years with this being the only San Francisco Mint issue and by far the lowest mintage of the sub-type. This is an attractive example with solid detail and original toned surfaces.
Well struck with lustrous yellow-gold surfaces. Minimally abraded and wonderful for the grade. Pre-Civil War ‘Fives’ are tough in mint state and this date is no exception.
