A scarce and highly desirable early Dahlonega Mint half eagle. The obverse retains sharp detail throughout Liberty’s portrait, with bold hair definition, a clear coronet inscription, and strong stars and date. Light rub is confined to the highest points. The reverse eagle is well defined, with crisp feather detail, a bold shield, and a clear D mintmark below the wreath. Surfaces display attractive, original gold coloration with warm yellow-gold and subtle orange highlights, complemented by  underlying luster. Contact marks are light and consistent with the grade, with no significant distractions.
