A very rare proof with a mintage of just 12! This is a beautiful example with a strong strike and nice reflective orange-red fields. The devices are frosted and are golden-tan with mint red in the protected areas of the design. A tiny toning flake in the dentils near star 10 is the only mark of consequence on this important rarity! A single coin has graded finer at NGC and this was the plate coin in Walter Breen’s book on this series.
