Liberty is seated facing left and holds an olive branch in her right hand and rests her left hand on a globe with the word LIBERTY inscribed. A sidewheeler is seen in the distance, and behind Liberty a wheat sheaf and two flags can be seen. The reverse is similar to the design used for regular coinage, except for minor leaf position changes. Struck in copper with a plain edge. This is a beautiful problem-free coin with chestnut-brown surfaces. Housed in an old green label ‘rattler’.
