A very attractive example of this ‘key’ date with lustrous crisp white surfaces that are sharply struck. Abrasions are minimal with none of significance. The look is very clean for the grade. While 3.2 million pieces were minted, it appears most were released into circulation with few withheld. While low grade pieces are plentiful, mint state pieces are elusive and highly desirable.
