Beautifully well preserved and an excellent strike for this scarce New Orleans Mint dollar. All features are boldly struck including the hair detail above Liberty’s ear and the eagle’s breast feathers, while just a few of the most trivial of marks are found on very choice surfaces. Both sides are blast white with frost on the design features. One of the finest survivors of the date and a coin with very strong eye appeal.
