The surfaces are exceptionally clean for an AU example, with only light wear evident on the highest points. Well struck, with sharp hair detail and strong definition through the eagle’s feathers. An especially pleasing AU53 example of the 1892-S, a date that becomes notably scarce in the higher circulated grades and rare in Mint State.
