A pleasing example of this scarce date. The obverse displays solid detail throughout Liberty’s gown and figure, with satiny luster evident beneath light, even toning. The reverse is also well struck, showing good feather definition on the eagle and the surfaces exhibit just light contact marks consistent with the grade, none of which are distracting. The overall eye appeal remains outstanding.
